The Bio

D.A. Damon Amendolara, aka D.A.
DA joined the WQAM team in Miami as host of "The DA Show" every weeknight 9p- Midnight in January 2008. DA brings a combination of weighty sports opinions, thought-provoking interviews and a healthy dose of laughs.
 
DA came to the sunny shores of Florida after hosting the morning show at Kansas City's 610 Sports from August '04 through December '07. DA originally joined the station for its launch in September 2003, initially anchoring the evening show, 6-9 p.m.
 
DA has spearheaded "The DA Show Cares" charity, having raised over $5,000 for causes like the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Bridge Home, the KCMO Little League and Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. The DA show will continue to support children in South Florida with new avenues in 2008.
 
DA has also guest hosted at Sportsradio 660 WFAN in New York, most recently in June '07. The DA Show began within the Beasley Radio Coporation at Sportsradio 770 ESPN in Ft Myers-Naples, FL from 4-6 p.m. He was also the play-by-play voice of the Ft Myers Miracle, minor league affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. In addition he anchored the afternoon "SportsCenter Updates" and handled pregame and postgame for the Florida Firecats of the Arena Football League.
 
DA graduated from Syracuse University in 2001 with a degree in broadcast journalism. At the 'Cuse, Damon was Sports Director at WAER Radio, following in the Orange footsteps of Marv Albert, Mike Tirico and Bob Costas. There he broadcasted SU football, basketball and lacrosse and received the 2000 Syracuse Press Club Award for "Best Sports Radio Story."
 
DA has also hosted the pregame and postame for the Rochester (NY) Rhinos Radio Network (A-League soccer) and handled play-by-play for the Wake Forest Radio Network on the 2002 Preseason NIT Title Game.
 
DA is a native of Warwick, NY, north of NYC in Orange County.
